Assam, Guwahati: Olympic bronze medalist Lovlina Bargohai has filed a divorce petition against her husband in a family court in Kamrup metropolitan district. 24-year-old boxer Lovlina filed this petition to separate from her husband Navneet Goswami. Their legal marriage took place in 2018. Navneet Goswami’s house is located in Jankhana, Ballygaon, Jorhat. He is also a boxer.
It is said that there are a lot of differences going on between the two regarding the relationship and on this basis, both of them have decided to get divorced on the basis of consent. She won a bronze medal at Tokyo 2020 and is the third Indian boxer to win a medal at the Olympics. It is known that Lovlina is the first female athlete from Assam and the second boxer to represent the state at the Olympics. In 2020, she became the sixth person from Assam to receive the Arjuna Award. Lovlina has been appointed as the Deputy Superintendent of Police by the Assam government. He also received the Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna by the Government of India. He was also awarded the Assam Saurav Award. He has recently been selected for the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.
