Pandit Nehru was more attached to children. Children used to call him Chacha Nehru. The birth anniversary of Pandit Nehru is also celebrated as Children’s Day. After the death of Pandit Nehru in 1964, Children’s Day was celebrated on his birth anniversary. Pandit Nehru became the first Prime Minister after the country’s independence in the year 1947. He held the post of Prime Minister till his death in 1964.
