Social worker Dr. Divyajyoti Saikia took care of the flood affected people

Assam, Guwahati: The orgy of floods continues in Assam. This time the floods have created a catastrophe as compared to the last few years. The general secretary of the social organization Brothers, the chief advisor of the youth unit of the Assam Satra Mahasabha and the national level human rights and social activist of Assam, Dr. Divyajyoti Saikia has been continuously drawing the attention of the government towards this problem. He has extended his helping hand to help the people who have lost everything in the floods. He took stock of the plight of the people by visiting the flood affected areas like Chhote Nagaon, Barthekerabari, Soru Thekerabari, Aulachauka etc. under Rangamati village panchayat of Darang district. Dr. Divyajyoti listened to the problems of the people and consoled them. Dr. Saikia discussed about pure drinking water and other emergency arrangements among the people. He said that if the government does not take immediate steps to help the flood-affected people or solve their problems, then they will create pressure. It is noteworthy that due to weak embankments at various places and lack of switchgates to drain water, this type of flood has created a ruckus among the people.
